Retail Design for GUCCI

THE BRIEF

This project is to design a retail project for GUCCI at The Garden, Ground floor, Mid Valley City, Lingkaran Syed Putra, 59200 Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur.

THE CLIENT

Gucci is an Italian luxury brand of fashion and leather goods. Gucci was founded by Guccio Gucci in Florence, Tuscany, in 1921.

Influential, innovation and progressive, Gucci is reinventing a wholly modern approach to fashion. Under the new vision of creative director Alessandro Michele, the House has redefined luxury for the 21st century, further reinforcing its position as one of the world’s most desirable fashion houses.

THE IDEA

For almost the duration of this time, Gucci has proudly displayed its GG Supreme texture, working to make the emblem a symbol for high-end-quality and a proud stamp of the company’s approval.

THE CONCEPT

The GG Supreme represent the Gucci most classic design from past to now and it is still been used as the new fashion trend. The keywords from the GG Supreme are INTERSECTED REPEATING, INTERLOCKING and OVERLAPPING.

By combining all the sketches, the lines has been combined into the curve panel. That curve evolved following the shape of Gucci’s “G”. Both of the “G” curve apply at the top and bottom of this concept. The pillar surrounded by two curve panel which represent the classic Gucci logo.

The curve “G” panel represent the past Gucci, start from scratch. The textured curve panel represent the current Gucci that provide different design of clothes, furniture, accessories and other product. The pillar in the middle represent the lock of both “G” and it shows the Gucci from past to current. In the end, the layering curve creates an unexpected space and will eventually unfold to reveal the mysterious interior plan.
